Healthy Extra B choices – Cereals and Breads

Healthy Extra B choices on the Slimming World plan are the ones that add fibre into your diet. You can have one a day alongside your two Healthy Extra A choices. There are quite a few different things that you can have when on Slimming World as a Healthy Extra B. This blog post will focus on cereals and bread.


  • 45g bran flakes
  • 45g fruit filled wheat biscuits (blueberry or raisin)
  • 45g oat bran
  • 40g unflavoured porridge oats
  • 40g puffed wheat
  • 50g Kellogg’s All-Bran original
  • 45g Dorset Cereals Simply Delicious Muesli
  • 45g Jordans Natural Muesli – No Added Sugar
  • 45g Weetabix Crunchy Bran
  • 40g Alpen Muesli, No Added Sugar
  • 40g Dorest Cereals – Simply Nutty Muesli
  • 40g Kellogg’s All Bran Golden Crunch
  • 40g Nestle Bitesize Shredded Wheat
  • 40g Nestle Honey Nut Shredded Wheat
  • 40g Nestle Oat Cheerios – Less than 5% sugar
  • 40g Nestle Shreddies Original
  • 40g Post Grape Nuts
  • 40g Quaker Oats Crisp Cereal
  • 40g Weetabix Crispy Minis, Banana / Fruit and Nut
  • 2 Nestle Shredded Wheat
  • 2 Weetabix – Organic/ Banana / Original / Protein / Additions
  • 1 sachet Quaker Oat So Simple – Big Bowl Porridge, Original
  • 1 sachet Oat So Simple – Gluten Free Original
  • 1 Sachet Quaker Super Goodness, Super Fruits Porridge


  • 60g wholemeal bread (any unsliced loaf)
  • 60g rye bread
  • 1 wholemeal roll (about 60g)
  • 1 wholemeal pitta bread
  • 1 gluten free roll – brown/ high fibre white / mutliseed
  • 1 thick slice wholemeal bread (800g sliced loaf)
  • 2 small slices wholemeal bread (400g sliced loaf)
  • 2 slices gluten free bread – brown / high fibre white / multiseed

As you can see there are quite a few options available for you to have as your healthy extra B choice. Remember that it’s important to weigh them though in order to help your weight loss, and you can only have one each day.
